Sussex Acquired Brain Injury Forum – SABIF - SABIF’s aim is to enable a clearer understanding and promote awareness of acquired brain injury within the ABI community within Sussex for the benefit of people with brain injury in all its forms. SABIF also provides a network for people interested in Brain injury in Sussex and free local training in the field of ABI. SABIF meets every 3 months (between 4-6pm) (mainly by video conference) across various venues in Sussex, and everyone is welcome to attend. At our SABIF meetings, we have outside speakers, usually professionals, but not limited to, about topics relating to abi - for instance, by way of background information, we have had talks from leading professionals about the use of helmets, disexecutive syndrome, the effects of brain injury, the Criminal Justice ABI Group, the 3Ts project as well as talks from carers giving their perspective. It is all free of charge.
