Presentations taking place for 2026:

  • 3rd March 2026, commencing at 3.30pm - Guy Jackson – Business Manager Brighton and Hove Safeguarding Adults Board who will present to help raise awareness of adult safeguarding and the work of the board.
  • 12th May 2026 at 3.30pm - Nicola Ward – Regional Service Manager – Major Trauma Support Partnership who will be presenting on work of MTSP supporting TBI patients at Royal Sussex Hospital.
  • Date to be confirmed - Dr Sara Leddy (Neurology Registrar at University Hospital Sussex will present on Epilepsy following a brain injury.
  • June/July 2026 (date to be confirmed) In Person Poster Event with various presentations.
  • Further talks from expert Neurologists; Speech and Language Specialists; Probation Service and others.

SABIF held various presentations in 2024 and 2025 including:

  • 11th June 2024 – 5th Sense by Helen Rhodes
  • 10th September 2024 – Welfare Benefits by Victor Feltham
  • 8th October 2024 – Functional Neurological Disorder with Flora McMullen from the Proclaim Group
  • Dr Anuraj Varshney – Return to driving after a brain injury talk.
  • Kate Mellor and Caroline Board – Heads Together – 28.1.25
  • Nick Thorpe – Return to work/Discrimination – 29.4.25 at 3.30 pm
  • Clare Mehta – Sussex Rehabilitation Service – 13.5.25 at 4.15 pm
  • Poster Event 17.6.25 at Headway Sussex – in person.
  • Further anticipated presentations include a representative from IMCA (Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy) a service which supports people when they are assessed to lack capacity.
